Land Restoration

Dryland Forest Restoration

Forests in drylands play a significant role in conserving biodiversity. Lahaina Family Farms has developed an on- going  dryland restoration project.

Native Plants

Native plants are the foundation of our natural ecosystem. Restoring native plant habitat is important to enhance biodiversity on the farm. The native Hawaiian wiliwili trees are federally listed as endangered and the farm is home to one of the largest stands on the islands. Protection of these sacred trees is a top priority at Lahaina Family Farms.
